The Centre functioned efficiently (in 2018-19) under the direction of Principal, Dr. Anula Maurya along with Teacher-in-Charge, Dr Nivedita Giri, 40 Guest Teachers, 10 Administrative Staff and 16 Students’ Council Members.
In the 2018-19 academic session, the main concern of the Centre has been to maintain the quality of teaching and provide a friendly learning atmosphere. In this session, in both BA and B. Com courses 1257 students were enrolled on. It gives immense pleasure that in 2017-18 annual examination result of the overall pass percentage in B.A. is 93.27 and in B. Com was 90.79. In addition, Shivani Gupta, B. Com IInd Year secured Fifth Rank, Kajal Lamba and Harsha Lamba, B.A IIIrd Year secured IV and V rank respectively in the University in 2017-18 examinations.
While maintain a pace with the regular college activities, the non-collegiate centre too organized various events throughout the year for holistic growth of the girls students. The year 2018-2019 was marked with a number of programs- co-curricular, extra-curricular and workshops/trainings so that the students can have a fair understanding of their future engagements in employment sector as well can have a support in individual growth. The activities organized were: Co-curricular Competitions (2018-19): essay writing (Hindi/English), debate, creative writing (Hindi/English), poetry reading, extempore; Extra-Curricular Competitions (29 December 2018): Solo Singing, Solo Dance, Group Dance Competition, Rangoli & Mehndi Making Competition, Best Out of Waste Competition, Greeting Card, Cooking Without Flame, Painting/Poster Making, Comparing; FUN-Sports Events (29 December 2018): Lemon race, Sack race, Three-leg Race. Besides, Kalindi Dhar (E-Magazine) was prepared.
The students of Kalindi Centre took part in various events organized at the University Level and National Level. Ms. Pallavi, IIIrd B A got Consolation Prize in Solo Singing Competition organized by NCWEB, Delhi University under ‘Desh Bhaki Song’ Category and Ms. Muskan of IInd year B.A has received 3rd Prize in Painting in Udaan- National Youth Festival organized in Delhi University Campus.
