The Kalindi College Economics Society (KaCES) successfully organized multiple events in the academic session 2024-25 to enhance students' academic, professional, and cultural development. Below is a concise overview of the activities conducted:

Seminars and Webinars:

  • Seminar on “Job Opportunities in Indian Economy in the Age of Industry 4.0” (18th November 2024):
    • Focused on emerging career opportunities in the evolving economy.
    • Attended by 80 students; organized in collaboration with IILM Institute.

  • Webinar on Data Visualization using Power BI (19th February 2025):
    • Conducted by Meghnad Desai Academy of Economics, introducing tools for data analytics.
    • Benefitted 55 participants, including 2 from outside Kalindi College.

  • Webinar on “Career Crossroads: NEP’s 3-Year vs 4-Year UG Puzzle” (21st February 2025):
    • Addressed the New Education Policy’s impact on undergraduate education.
    • Engaged 45 students in an insightful discussion.

  • Webinar on “How to Build a Strong CV” (4th March 2025):
    • Conducted by Mr. Amit Poddar from T.I.M.E Institute
    • Equipped 60 attendees with essential resume-building skills.

  • Seminar on ‘How to do well in Aptitude Test’ (19th April 2025):
    • Conducted by Mr. Tijendra Sharma
    • Enlightened 60 attendees with essential aptitude required for entrance tests
 
  1. Educational Visit:

  • Visit to Arya Samaj mahila ashram (13th and 19th November 2024)
    • The visit aimed to foster empathy and social responsibility through interaction with senior citizens. The students organized cultural activities like singing, poetry, and dance, which were met with joy and active participation from the residents.

  • Visit to Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya (29th January 2025):
    • Forty-five students explored India’s political history and Nehru’s life through engaging exhibits at Teen Murti Bhavan.
 
  1. Creative Initiatives:

  • Film Screening - The Tashkent Files (11th February 2025):
    • Organized by Econopress, encouraging critical thinking on historical and political topics.
    • There were 45 participants.
 
  1. Other Notable Activities:

  • Inaugural Lecture on Economic Research Tools and Methodologies (24th October 2024):
    • Delivered by Dr. Devesh Birwal, highlighting statistical tools and data collection techniques.
    • Benefitted 50 students in an interactive format.
  1. Cultural and Extracurricular Events:

  • Freshers’ Welcome Event Held at Sangam Parisar, the Freshers' Event was a grand celebration themed "Retro Bollywood." The event featured lively performances, including a flash mob, singing, and dance challenges. It concluded with DJ beats, ensuring a delightful start to the academic year.

  • Athasaar: The Annual Fest The flagship annual fest of KaCES, "Arthasaar," featured four exhilarating competitions:
    • Model ILO: A simulation of the International Labour Organization.
    • Squid Grid: A strategy-based team game.
    • Trade-o-Thon: A dynamic trading competition.
    • Policy Prism: An innovative policy-making challenge.
The fest attracted significant participation from Kalindi College as well as other colleges showcasing the creative and analytical skills of the students.
