I distinctly remember the anxiety that kicked in on the first day of college. As a student who is just fresh out of college, it becomes haywire to adapt in a completely different environment. However, the faculty made sure that each one of us was comfortable with their kind words and gestures. I can rightly say that in those 3 years, I got to learn so much, not just about literature but values. Lectures were interactive, where each and every student could express in an open space. Apart from it, there were also a lot of seminars and poetry sessions where we could further hone our skills. The faculty had a huge role in making the entire experience warm for us. With their continuous guidance and support, those three years became one of the most beautiful memories that one could have. Besides studies, every student deserves a friendly environment where he/she feels comfortable enough to dedicate some of his/her important years, and I am proud to say that Kalindi proves to tick in every single criteria.

As rightly said, ‘The journey is more beautiful than the destination.’ When I was reflecting on my three years with Department of English at Kalindi College, I realized that I had gained more than I had ever expected. I was able to study in a diversified environment with many fellow students from different backgrounds and industries. I could learn from many renowned professors for their extensive knowledge and professional experience. I had the chance to participate in various study trips which brought a wealth of the real world experience. And last but not least, I was grateful that I could broaden my knowledge, enrich my life experience and establish a network of professionals to improve my career growth and development. I believe each and everyone of us has unique interests and goals, but what makes us be here together is the constant thirst for new knowledge and skills. So rock it! Earn your Bachelors Degree in a marvelous way. The journey is worth it in the end.

When I passed my XII board exams, life took a pleasant turn for me as I started my journey at Kalindi College as a Botany Honors student. Being an amateur I had a lot of pre conceived notions in mind of being an outsider but this institution and its people welcomed me with open arms. This three-year journey of becoming a botanist has been quite interesting. From participating and winning applauds in various competitions at college and national level to holding the post of vice president and co-editor in the Amaranth society, everything has been a learning experience for me. The professors at the botany department were like a guiding force and helped me carve my personality and made me explore my interests. Friends and juniors only added beautiful memories to this list. Indeed, words can't describe my feelings for you, My Alma Mater. Today, when I leave this campus though virtually (due to covid-19 pandemic) I realize that I am reborn as a person who is much more confident, determined and most importantly passionate to achieve more. So, with all the incredible memories and a happy heart I bid my goodbye to you with a promise to make you proud for everything that you have done for me.

Being associated with this college as a learner for past 3 years has been an unforgettable experience. I have joined this college as a naïve but because of highly intellectual, experienced and supportive faculties I have witnessed my skill and competence rising to a zenith. The learner centric environment not just crafted us for academic curriculum but also motivated us for different challenges in life. Sports, conferences, seminars, fests and botanical trips was something that made our journey even more cherishable and full of memories.
Those stories, jokes, hugs, scolds, reading out loud, face of accomplishing a goal, kindness, friendship, a botanical family is one of the most powerful experience of my life. I am very thankful to this department for helping me in recognizing and realizing my dreams and paving the way to reach there. Thank you for inspiring us, nurturing us, teaching us, believing in us and giving us a dream.

The two hardest things to say in life are hello for the first time and goodbye for the last. But fortunate I am to have something that has made saying goodbye so hard. So, here’s a short glimpse of the beautiful journey of my college life.
We were the 1st batch of Botany (H) in this college. So basically, we acted as the torch bearers & laid the foundation of our Botanical Society and finally named it “Amaranth”. It seems unimaginable when I look back at how we successfully organized series of events all through the three years. Serving AMARANTH as the president for three consecutive years was not less than a blessing. The experiences I gained & the values I learned on the way are incomparable and inexpressible in words. It wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of my colleagues, the guidance of my teachers, the acclamation from my wonderful juniors & the support of my ‘friends-cum-family’. Coming from a place like Jammu and stepping into girls college & getting the acceptance, support, love from my generous teachers all the way was the root of establishing myself as a person who is difficult to pull down but easy to fly high. My teachers were my pillars of strength who always motivated me no matter what, always corrected me in the same way like my parents do & sometimes also bear my not so acceptable behavior. For me it was not only a college but my second home. Everyone who knows me knows how emotional a person I am at times and this journey did take me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as well. And here I stand today, a more patient and stronger person than I ever was. I believe in myself more than I ever did. I am grateful to have gathered a plethora of such beautiful memories that I’m gonna cherish for life.

One of the most interesting stages in life that gave me an opportunity to explore is the ‘college phase.’ Life at college is the time when the teenage years end and we all dive deep into the ocean of new beginnings and possibilities. This golden period better equips us for all the challenges we’ll face in life and creates a strong foundation of knowledge. My experience at Kalindi College has taught me one fundamental thing – life is unpredictable. It might be good, it might be bad, it might be weird, and it might not interest you, but expect anything to happen. I was a student of B.Sc(H) Computer Science and I learned a lot from the teachers and all the faculty members academically as well as socially. Whole Computer Science department has enriched my life in many ways. It has provided me with the necessary tools to enhance my skills more and taught me valuable knowledge. These experiences are truly irreplaceable and I would not trade them for anything. Kalindi College has given me the moments that carry sentimental value. So, one fine day when I will see pictures from the college having a good time, I will definitely land up smiling silently. That’s the beauty of college life. Life at college is a wild mish-mash of experiences.

One of the most beautiful phases of my life till now is my 3 years of college. The best thing about my College was being part of a supportive environment, where everyone is focused, help each other and you are encouraged to succeed as individuals. The faculty is wonderful not only teaching staff but non-teaching too. Not only from academics point of view but as per cultural prospective also Kalindi College is wonderful. All the departmental fest, opening ceremonies, closing ceremonies, annual fest, Diwali Mela , etc are very entertaining. I am from Computer Science department and our departmental society is very active and supportive. They organize many CS oriented events which are very helpful to us. Our teachers were very helpful in every way; they are sincere and hard working. They'll guide you at every point whenever required. College has a wonderful campus, various parks, ecosystems, auditorium and academic blocks. I would like to thank everyone who was a part of my College life. Specially my friends , teachers, classmates for always motivating me and helping me to shine more and more.

Life is like a roller coaster full of twist and turns, ups and downs and full of surprises. But when Life journey is smooth, Life is beautiful this what Kalindi gave me. It has been just as an exciting journey where I came as a little girl among unknown people at a new place from Panipat, Haryana I never knew that unknown things will give me lifetime memories. Everyone go through a lot of bumps for the few starting semesters as everything is so new for all and that same goes for me. There was so much to see, so much to explore, full of fears, and unsure of the future. With the passage of time however, I learned to find the silver lining. I learned from college life that never give up in your Life! Talking about my second year, It was full of new adventures and learning experiences. I joined National Service Scheme unit along with the Student Union as an arts representative. I dedicated more than 120 hours in my 1st year of NSS in which many activities such as Tree plantation, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc were part of it and through NSS unit of KC I was selected for National Integration Camp which was organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India. And then, everything got an interesting including spending time with friends, enjoying the cafeteria, attending webinars and much more. And lastly, Thank You to each and everyone for trusting me as the President of Kalindi College, University of Delhi for the session 2019-20 i.e, in my third year. With the support of Principal Ma'am, Students' Union Advisors, Lehren'20 Convenors, Entire College Staff, Non-teaching staff & Last but most importantly, My Team, Everything was done so nicely and in the best way. I've given the best of my abilities for the betterment of the College and tried to cater all the problems of every student. Each event would have not become successful without the Constant Support and Coordination that includes from a Gardner to a College Guard. I am glad that all showered faith in me, which I never let down. I have also been involved in a year Research Project entitled Women’s political participation in decision making in Northeast India. To continue my studies, I passed my undergraduation with the flying colors with constant support and direction of Faculty members of Kalindi College. I hope to outshine my college in my new College i.e SNDT Women’s University, Pune in course M.Sc in Mass Media and Communication for Children even after passing out in various forms and pay my gratitude to the foundation of my success, Kalindi College.

Being a part of new beginnings is always special and so is my journey as it kicked off along with the graduation in mathematics. Looking back, I can certainly say that Kalindi college was the most important milestone in shaping my career.It provides an innovative course design, best in class faculty from University of Delhi.Throughout the academic sessions, I was challenged to discover capabilities that I never knew I had. Along with academics, the faculty ,of Department of Mathematics, focuses on personality development which helped me build a rewarding career. Currently, I am pursuing M.Sc Mathematics ,Hansraj College,University of Delhi. It has been an unforgettable journey since I joined Kalindi college .

Kalindi College gave me some of the best memories and people of my life. As far as studies go; On the onset, I could not gather much of anything especially Real Analysis, but the zeal and patience of our teachers helped me not to give up, and over time, I was able to grasp the concepts of the curriculum. The departmental events and gathering were an amalgamation of mathematical and fun activities; which was great fun and an amazing way to get to know our fellows, seniors, and the teachers outside of class. This course gave me the opportunity to present my first ever presentation, deliver an introductory speech, and even make a working model (in which we enlisted major help from our amazing faculty). All-in-all, it started out as just a degree course that I wanted to dobut ended up being the most precious time.

I, Ravina Shokeen, spent three amazing years in Kalindi College (from 2012-2015 session)and my life was amazing from academics to social life, everything was just awesome. From the very first day in college to the last day, I just created wonderful memories. My experience at Kalindi College has taught me one fundamental thing- life is unpredictable. It might be good, it might be bad, it might be weird, and it might not interest you, but expect anything to happen. For example, you might have a wonderful job this moment, and be fired the very next moment. College life prepares you for all of this. It is a perfect blend of joy and hardships.

I am Ila Mehta. I did my graduation B.A Hons History from Kalindi College Delhi University. Kalindi College was the best place of my life in learning. Understanding teachers were always supporting every step. I still remember I failed in my second year of History Hons due to my health issue. All of my teachers were shocked that how she failed because u was good in studies. I was very sad and overheated. I applied again and all teachers supported me and give me a chance and I passed with good marks. I was very sad at that time when I had to sit with my junior in 2nd year again but my teachers supported me and that time. I felt Kalindi college teachers Dr Rini Pundir, Dr Saroj Dutta, Dr Mathur, Dr. Sushma sundir, Dr. Garima Prakash and Dr. Anjali Malik etc were the best constructor of student life. Today I and pursuing PhD in Deccan College Post-graduate and Research Institution and also I am very glad to know that the teachers that still have believe in me and keep in touch always.

I graduated(B.A hons political science) from Kalindi College in 2017.In three years of my graduation life ,I learned not only about my curriculum but also non curricular activities which helped me to become what I am today. From being awarded as the best office bearer of Students Union of my college in 2015 to getting selected as the President of NSS Union in 2016 and being awarded as Best NSS volunteer of the year. I have been an active NSS member since the very first year of my college and was a part of NSS Union as Proctor and active volunteer. I have worked with farmers in Assam for two months and successfully completed my internship under the National Foundation of India. I have learned a lot of skills from my first college and it was the steppingstone in my life. I had an opportunity to be part of Indian Road Safety Campaign which was led by IIT Delhi. I became extrovert and gain my skills (leadership, Project Management etc.) which are helping my career. My first research project started from Kalindi in which I was involved as Student Investigator i.e. Delhi University Innovation Project KC-303,it was about Conditions of Old age home in Delhi NCR. NSS taught me how to being concern about society and help others in different situation which also helped me choose my subject and college. I did my Masters from CHRIST (Deemed to be University),Bengaluru in Master in Social Work in HRDM and currently pursuing my final year of my MPhil in management and labour studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. My faculties and other staff of Kalindi helped and supported me at every step of my career. Because of their guidance and support it was easier for me to choose my career stone. “An Investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” Benjamin Franklin . Kalindi is that investment which is paying me interest till now and will always have a special place in my life.

It gives me great pleasure to say with pride that I have completed my graduation from Kalindi College. Despite being an off-campus college, Kalindi College is filled with positive energy. The campus is full of limitless opportunities if one want to discover yourself. The most important three years of my career started here, and I have been impressed at the level of attention for developing me as whole. Every teacher and staff member I met, creates a very supportive climate. The relationship between faculties and student is very cordial, every teacher knows each student, their strength and weakness, which helped me to grow better professionally and personally. Classes are not constrained to academic and theoretical knowledge, but also teach me life lessons. This college gave me sweet memories, faithful friends and a sense of confidence to face the challenges and turbulences in life. The best part is college research project which allow me to conduct research on what interest me the most and an experience how to do a research at higher level. Being a student of 2017-20, I have experienced a lot of things, from classroom lectures to online classes, the pressure of sitting and writing in examination hall to giving open book online exams, from making notes from different book in library to exploring the new websites, from attending workshops to webinars, and many more, our teachers always stand besides us. I would like to thank all the faculties and the staff for their efforts.

It was my immense luck and fortune to be the part of kalindi college of University of Delhi where I can grow. The entire faculty and department leaves no stone unturned to shape one's future. My three year Bachelors degree consist a project with Dr. Triranjita and Dr. Pushpa Bindal was great. My three year have been excellent and a memory to cherish for a life time.

I can say that my last 3 years of the college were one of the best time of my life. This time holds a special place in my heart. All the teachers were so supportive and caring. They never let us down. And all my mates were so cool. Whenever I think about my college, my eyes are full of tears. The tears of joy, the tears of separation. These 3 years passed super soon. Every place inside the college has a different memory. And these memories will remain forever. I will miss this all. I will miss "KALINDI ".

I entered in Kalindi as a Fresher in 2016 and my college life was just as exciting, where I experienced ups and downs like being on a roller coaster ride. There were exciting moments along with stressful, anxious, nervous, frightening, and victorious moments too. I got the opportunity to be the part of Students' union of the college and I became Arts Representative in 2016, and with the support and blessings of all Principal, Teaching, Non Teaching Staff and students, I proved myself and in 2017 became Vice President of the Students' union. I joined Western Dance Society, and became the Coordinator of the Team and in the end of the year tenure awarded as Outstanding Students' Union office bearer. Third year, 2018 was one of the best and the memorable year as I was appointed as President of the Students' Union Kalindi College and this was just like dream come true, hence throughout the year I proved myself in leadership and took college to new heights by working in several things Cultural Clubs, Societies, academic workshops, etc. with the end of Presidentship tenure I was awarded as Outstanding Students' Union President Award, All Rounder Student of the College Scholarship Award & Presidents' Award and with this my three years journey came to an end. I believe, College life is not as easy as we think. We need to be fully prepared to accept the challenges and tough situations thrown our way. These experiences have taught me how to lose gracefully, and also enjoying winning. They have taught me how to have faith in our ideas and to believe in oneself. They have taught and prepared me to face the real world, and strive for excellence no matter what happens! This whole journey has boasted my self-confidence to an another extent, I have learnt a lot of valuable knowledge and morals from Principal and Teachers and I will cherish this forever. And now I have become an Inspiration, Youth Icon and Social Media Influencer.

I have pursued my graduation in Journalism (Honours) from Kalindi College, University of Delhi. Journalism has been one of the top rated courses offered by Delhi University. What makes Kalindi College unique is that it is one of the five colleges in Delhi University to offer Bachelors Degree in Journalism. Talking about my three years in the college, it has been an enriching experience for me personally and professionally both. Being a part of Students’ Union of the college and an active member of the NSS team and of Innovation Project Research team, I have got tremendous opportunities throughout the three years to utilize my potential in leadership, research, field work and social work. In the Department of Journalism, students have access to well-built and well-equipped studio and PCR which enhances the experience and knowledge of students regarding the practical skills needed in the field of mass media and journalism. The Department also publishes a monthly newsletter covering the events happening in the college and all around, which is managed solely by the students. The best part of my graduation was the connection I built there with my seniors and professors who still guide and help me out in career aspects. The college gives comfortable space to interact with peers and faculty members letting students broaden their horizons and their perspectives. Different societies based on extra co-curricular actives in college are great way to pursue one’s talents and channelize their passion effectively. Frequent seminars, competitions and activities helps them engaging themselves outside the academics making the environment conducive for overall personality development.

कालिंदी, जैसे ही कॉलेज का नाम सुनती हूँ तो सारी तस्वीरें-सी आँखों के सामने आने लगती हैं। सबसे पहले हमारे हिंदी विभाग के सभी प्यारे व आदरणीय गुरुजन।
जिन्होंने शिक्षा व ज्ञान के साथ-साथ हमें अपने स्नेह से सराबोर भी किया और सच कहूँ तो जैसे ही इन गुरुओं का ख्याल आता है तो सबसे पहले डॉ॰ विभा ठाकुर व डॉ॰ रक्षा गीता मैम का चेहरा सामने आता है।( आप दोनों आजीवन मेरे प्रिय शिक्षक रहेंगे) कॉलेज ने मुझे एक ऐसी प्रतिभा से पहचान दे दी, जिससे मैं खुद अनजान थी। जहाँ मैं स्वरचित कविताएँ किसी को सुनाने का साहस भी ना रखती थी, वहाँ इन 3 सालों में इस कॉलेज के स्टेज ने मुझे एक लंबी यात्रा करवा आकाशवाणी रेडियो तक पहुँचा दिया। अपनी इस यात्रा की उपलब्धियों, पुरस्कारों व आशीर्वादों के लिए मैं सदैव कालिंदी महाविद्यालय की आभारी रहूँगी।
इसी के साथ काव्य-पाठ के अलावा विभाग की सचिव, कक्षा-प्रतिनिधि आदि बनकर, कार्यक्रमों में भाग लेकर व अनेकों प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लेकर। अनेकों कार्यक्रम अपने गुरुजनों के साथ आयोजित कर जो आनंद व अनुभव पाया है उसे शब्दों में बयां कर पाना मुश्किल होगा। यह अनुभव बहुत ही निराला व आनंदमय है। जिसे जितना लिखती जाऊँगी कम लगेगा। इसके लिए मैं कालिंदी महाविद्यालय व इसके सदस्यों का हृदय से आभार प्रकट करती हूँ, जिन्होंने मुझे मेरे जीवन व कॉलेज के ये सुनहरे 3 साल दिए।

I had a wonderful experience with Kalindi College. This experience has given me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice. Kalindi College has several strengths and one such strength is the faculty (both teaching and non - teaching staff) who provide immense guidance and support the students. The college focuses on overall personality development through various cultural activities and competitions which helped me to build self-confidence and a better version of me. I had so beautiful and unforgettable experience with the teaching staff because they treated me like their own child and took out a strong mind and a beautiful soul from me. कालिंदी कॉलेज के साथ मेरा बहुत ही प्यारा अनुभव रहा है इस अनुभव के कारण ही मैंने अपने पसंद के क्षेत्र में अपने कौशल को तेज किया। कालिंदी कॉलेज की शक्ति वहां कार्यरत संकाय सदस्यों में निहित है जिसमें शिक्षण और गैर शिक्षण स्टाफ दोनों अपनी विशेष भूमिका निभा रहे हैं। कालिंदी कॉलेज विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियों और प्रतियोगिताओं के माध्यम से समग्र व्यक्तित्व विकास पर केंद्रीय है जिसने मुझे आत्मविश्वास और मेरे बेहतर संस्करण का निर्माण करने में मदद की मेरे पास शिक्षण स्टाफ के साथ इतना सुंदर और अविस्मरणीय अनुभव रहा था। उन्होंने मेरी बुद्धि और मेरे अंतःकरण को बहुत मजबूत बनाने में मेरी मदद की जिस कारण आज मैं भारतीय रेलवे में जूनियर इंजीनियर के पद पर कार्यरत हूं। मैं निश्चित रूप से कह सकती हूं कि मेरे करियर को सही दिशा देने मैं कालिंदी कॉलेज सबसे महत्वपूर्ण मिल का पत्थर था। जीवन के कुछ अनुभव इतने अधिक सुंदर होते हैं जिनको बार-बार जीने का मन करता है कालिंदी कॉलेज का अनुभव भी कुछ ऐसा ही था पर कहते हैं की जो वक्त एक बार निकल जाता है वह वापस लौट कर नहीं आता है पर कोई बात नहीं मेरे साथ कालिंदी कॉलेज की यादें सदैव मेरे हृदय में रहेंगी तथा मां बाप की तरह प्यार करने वाले मेरे अध्यापक और अध्यापिका सदैव मेरे मन में एक आदरणीय एवं विशिष्ट स्थान रखते हैं।

The three years in the College have been the period of grooming under the guidance of best teachers and I was lucky in getting all the platforms to showcase my talents. The College atmosphere has always been inclusive and support was extended to all the students in the college. The College infrastructure has been improving ever since. I feel proud to be part of Kalindi College. The mentioning of college days cannot end without thinking about my friends that I got from the College who kept me going despite all odds. It was a perfect dream that I got to live.

When I recall my days at Kalindi College, I am blooming with memories of fun time, sweet shares & insightful learnings. The ocean flowing opportunities are the ultimate value proposition for our Kalindi, opportunities to co-learn, co-create, and co-design. You will naturally thrive in this campus, who wouldn’t? With our magnificent professors, one community values and above all homely environment, it’s an unconscious upshot. I found the best of friends here, from the first day standing in the waiting line to even today sharing happy laughs of the memories we hold close to our hearts. I will always embrace the culture, the mentors & the green kingdom of butterflies. Finally, I shall always be grateful to my Kalindi, for crafting me into a courageous, empowered & grounded woman that I have become.

Looking back at my college days in Kalindi College, my heart is filled with gratitude, contentment and full of bitter-sweet memories of the three years I spent there. The transition from school to college is always tough but what makes this journey towards finding one’s individuality fruitful is the kind of people one meets on the way. Kalindi gave me the best set of teachers, mentors and colleagues who supported and guided me in my every endeavour.
The ethos of a girls’ college cannot be explained in words but can only be felt. My college gave me a wonderful set of kind, talented and incredibly strong girls as friends who are my support system even today. Unlike the stereotypes of petty competitiveness, we played an integral role in each other’s success and academic (and even personal) achievements. From studying together to organizing fests, my college gave me an incredibly conducive environment to grow and learn. Perhaps, the best part about the Economics department was my professors. They were truly amongst the best set of professors available in Delhi University. The care and support that I got from the faculty was never less than what a parent would have done for his/her daughter. They helped me to tap on my inner potential and encouraged me to pursue Economic research which I was really passionate about.
I will be forever indebted to Kalindi College for it is here that I found my mentor, without whom I would not have known who I am. Both academically and personally, it was her Midas touch that made me a better student, researcher and a human being. She was the impetus that led me to represent India at an International research conference; present my findings there and even win the title of ‘the Budding Economist of South Asia 2019’. Most importantly, Kalindi made me fall in love with Economics all over again and became the wind beneath my wings which led me to pursue masters.
Retrospectively, despite all the petty grumblings, I can proudly say that Kalindi College is the place where I had to be to learn some really important lessons in life. These are the lessons and the most important people in my life whom I can never trade with any of the ‘top’ tier colleges in North Campus!

It has been three years since I first set foot in Kalindi. Since then, I’ve walked the streets of old Delhi with the guides of Rana Safvi, taken A Train To Pakistan with Singh, travelled the unexplored Silk Roads with Frankopan, read about the polite spats of historians (and my class) over whether Akbar was as politically liberal as Fazl claimed him to be, spent hours pulling my hair out trying to understand what the Mughals were thinking when they designed the Mansabdari system and had my heartbeat pumping in my ear when I finally understood it. One of the most important lessons that I’m taking away from my college experience is that learning is necessary to keep ourselves and those around us on the toes, yes, but unlearning is an imperative part of growing. I’d have never known myself to be a casteist had I not spent hours reading Ambedkar, neither would have I know myself to be a sexist until I was forced to read de Beauvoir and Wollstonecraft for a paper. And all had been worth it because I had been surrounded by my friends (who had given up on the Mansabdari system), my teachers, my seniors and juniors. The History Department has been a haven, a warm and welcoming space when realities of life outside college got too shabby and daunting to face. The department has an easy air around it and so do the members that make it so. I’ve never found myself helpless and unanswered. Our teachers never bound us to books and classrooms. Rather they coaxed us to visit the places we’d read about and experience them in their element, and on occasions possible, took the matters in their own hands and organized a short trip. And just when the students would find themselves growing grim about the mouth, the department would take to hosting interactive seminars and talks, offering a fresh perspective on our papers. Our teachers, from the very first day, have been extremely helpful, approachable and forthcoming, willing to offer guidance not only on matters relating to our career and studies but also on any matter that the student would find uncomfortable to discuss with a parent. From having our teachers ask us about our problems and guiding us through, to having our classmates reaffirm and validate each other on those long endless afternoons, I’m grateful to have been a part of this department and this college, even if in passing. As historian Wallace Stegner puts it, “There is a sense in which we are all each other’s consequences”.

I entered Kalindi as an average student someone who was excited about college life as most of us were. Life in the campus was carefree, full of adventures and fun and to top it all I got to make friends that became family for life. Being an excited kid, I always found interest outside the classroom and therefore, my curiosity took me to join as many societies and organizations during my entire three years. I got a great opportunity to be an active member of our Street Play Society ‘RAQS’. The days in RAQS were the best creative days of my life; we would practice for hours on our scripts, screenplay, music and whatnot. We were the most active society of the college and I got to work along with some of the most talented girls who continue to inspire me till date. We bagged many inter-college prizes which kept us going strong for our college. It was the first time I learnt the true meaning of ‘teamwork’ and the team inspired me to be also dedicated to my studies and never compromise them for the co-curricular. At the same time, I also became an active associate of the NSS in the college and organised many drives and camps in the campus, went on to represent my college in the Gyanodaya Educational Trip organized by the University. That trip was an experience of the lifetime, it brought me closer to my teacher and mentor who accompanied us in these 12 days Dr Rini Pundir, she continues to be a strong pillar of support for me and I still confide in her whenever I feel stuck in my life. On the other hand, the faculty I was part of BA (Hons) History gave me the much-required impetus to dedicatedly work hard. We had a small competitive class and a healthy competition amongst us helped me to realize the value of true hard work which I swear by till date. I was an average student but, this competitive spirit led me to work hard and I stood first in the department all three years. The spirit of consistent hard work later led me to pursue my higher education in the North Campus DU and later for my MPhil and now as I am two years into my PhD I have been fortunate enough to be working with some of the prestigious names in the country who continue to inspire me to keep growing. The tiny seed of dedication which was implanted by my teachers and friends during my time in Kalindi continues to grow itself finding fresh avenues every day. I shall be forever indebted to this college for moulding me and becoming the best version of myself and as I continue to embark on my journey, I would never replace the three years I spent here to any other college. My message to anyone who is currently enrolled would be to make the most out of these days, work hard, make friends for life, have fun because these days will be the best days of your lives.

I remember being scared, the first time I entered through the gate of Kalindi College. A new place, filled with new faces and stern looking teachers- the college felt like a cold embrace, which I couldn't wait for it to be over already. However, my three years with English Department at Kalindi College became the reason behind some of my best memories ever. One of the best things about this department is the hard-working faculty. With ample amount of assignments and detailed explanations, I never felt that the syllabus was too difficult to comprehend. Classes were held regularly, and the teachers taught their respective subjects with passion and knowledge. Due to this cooperative and enthusiastic nature of teachers, the students developed a positive approach towards the subject. They were not only eager to learn, but also always ready to help a fellow student. Students were open, warm-hearted and friendly, full of respect for each other. Especially on the days of celebrations and fest, one can see the faculty and the students working together. With teachers as amazing mentors and guides, friendly and helpful students, my bachelor's from English Department, Kalindi College, is one of the best times of my life.

2015, a year when I got admission in Kalindi College, English Hons. which was not my subject of preference but I took admission in it to have an option. I remember my first day. Monica Zutshi ma'am was asking each student to introduce themselves. I felt so underconfident as everyone was speaking with so much confidence and fluency in English. I was from a govt. school and I felt humiliated. Initial 3 semesters, I was a depressed and quiet student because of various reasons. But thanks to the faculty members. I can't express my journey in words. All of them were like mothers and father-like figure to me. I can't even begin to express the gratitude that I hold in my heart for all of the professors. They helped me develop as a kind, warm and confident girl. I could complete my Post-Graduation beacuse of the emotional support and confidence that I got from my Under-Graduation's mentors. Sneha ma'am, especially has played a great role in my life. She held my hand on such a stage when I was mentally disturbed that I could cry all the time even when everything and everyone around me was happy. Shipra ma'am, and Mukesh ma'am, treated me like their own daughter. Their constant belief in me provoked me to become a better person and overcome my fears and sadness that I was experiencing due to personal reason. It has been an amazing journey that I can never express in words. I am just thankful to Monica Zutshi ma'am, Chaity ma'am, Tanya ma'am, Surbhi ma'am, Shipra ma'am, Mukesh ma'am, Sneha maa, Sushrut sir, Prabhat sir and Arun sir. I can't help but mention all of them for being such a support to me. And at last Kalindi College gave me some very good friends that I still share an inexplicable bond with and some very lovely juniors whom I adore very much. I miss my college days all the time. It was the time of my major transformation as a person and I cannot thank this college and my professors for playing a huge role in my life.

It was an immense pleasure to be a part of Kalindi College, University of Delhi where I was provided with a lot of opportunities to support my academic and professional growth. The entire faculty of any department leaves no stone unturned to shape one's future. My three years at Kalindi have been a wonderful experience of learning new things which has shaped me into what I am today. Huge respect, love and devotion to all the faculty members and department. It's their efforts that I have grown so much and have more confidence in my field.
